Job Description

Company Overview:

Position Overview:
Looking for a team player with prior experience in construction, energy, or industrial/process industry to provide key technical support to energy generation projects starting with Detailed Design and through Commissioning and Closeout. As a Project Engineer II, you will become a key team member ensuring that Trinity's procedures are carried out per internal specifications, and when required will visit the constructions sites to perform audits and or document lessons learned. You will support 5-10 off grid / microgrid projects (100kW-25MW each) per year in the most exciting phase of these projects as they are constructed and placed in service. Successful participation requires an iconic set of values that align with the organization's objectives. You will be held accountable to engage with all constituents (internal and external) with absolute truth and compassion. Key Responsibilities:
Always operate within Trinity's values. Assist the Project Management team with 60 and 90% Engineering (primarily electrical) design reviews ensuring Lessons Learned and Trinity Design Requirements are integrated. Become the in-house technical resource to assigned projects (supported by other Engineering team members) and confidently respond to technical questions during project review meetings. Perform on-site audits of projects in construction. Respond to RFIs related to Trinity communications/control products and Trinity construction checklists. Maintain and improve upon design review and startup procedures and checklists.
Qualifications & Requirements:
2+ years of experience in a power plant design, fabrication, industrial/processing, product support, power plant O&M, or technical quality role. Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical, computer, controls, mechanical, energy), or equivalent experience in installation / troubleshooting of industrial or power equipment. NABCEP certification in PV and Energy Storage or ability to qualify within first year of employment. EIT/PE, CEM, CEA or other engineering/energy related certifications or willingness to obtain. Prior field experience (maintenance, inspection, or installation) with Solar, BESS, Power Electronics, and or stand-alone generators preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel. Experience with Python, AcSELerator AutoCAD, Tableau, SQL, and or Industrial SCADA systems preferred. Experience with PV Design Software or willingness to learn. Basic 2-D AutoCAD LT expertise is a requirement. Passion for continuous improvement, quality, and excellence. Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence internal teams and external partners. Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically as needed for site visits, kick-offs, and client meetings.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
