Full Job Description Assistant Building Engineer Department:

Engineering Reports To:

Chief Engineer Job Summary The Assistant Building Engineer assists with the daily maintenance and operation of the building, including general repairs, preventive maintenance, lighting, plumbing, life safety systems, and tenant requests. Key Responsibilities Perform general building maintenance and repairs. Complete work orders and tenant service requests. Replace light bulbs, lamps, and lighting fixtures. Perform minor plumbing repairs. Respond to fire alarms and other life safety system notifications. Assist with preventive maintenance of building systems. Building rounds Help tenants with minor requests, such as moving furniture or hanging pictures. Maintain building supplies and order materials as needed. Participate in the engineering on-call rotation. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license. Basic knowledge of building maintenance, lighting, and plumbing. Current Washington State 07 electrical training card, if required for the position. Physical Requirements Must be able to perform routine building maintenance tasks, lift materials as needed, and work in confined spaces or at heights when required.
