Duties Develop comprehensive lighting designs for residential interior projects, integrating aesthetic appeal with technical functionality. Create detailed drawings and specifications using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhinoceros 3D, and 3ds Max to visualize concepts clearly. Produce high-quality renderings and presentations utilizing Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite, and other graphic design tools to communicate design ideas effectively. Conduct building code analysis to ensure all designs meet local regulations and safety standards, including building code compliance and BIM (Building Information Modeling) workflows. Manage multiple design projects simultaneously by coordinating schedules, budgets, and client expectations while maintaining high-quality deliverables. Prepare construction detail documentation that accurately reflects design intent for contractors and fabricators. Engage in client communication throughout the project lifecycle, presenting ideas clearly and incorporating feedback to refine designs. Assist in lighting sales efforts by providing technical expertise on product selection and application during renovation or remodeling projects. Skills Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhinoceros 3D, 3ds Max, and Bluebeam for drafting and presentation purposes. Strong knowledge of lighting design principles, color theory, and interior design fundamentals tailored for residential spaces. Experience with 3D modeling for architectural design and rendering techniques that bring concepts to life visually. Familiarity with building code analysis, construction detail documentation, and BIM tools to ensure project compliance and accuracy. Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining attention to detail. Effective client communication skills to articulate design ideas clearly and professionally. Knowledge of construction experience including remodeling processes, budgeting considerations, renovation strategies, and contracts management. Skilled in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite for creating compelling presentations and visualizations.
