Glendale, CA Job Details Part-time $23,000 - $30,000 a year 2 hours ago Qualifications CAD software Full Job Description S Y Lee Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced MEP Electrical Designer to support the design and production of construction documents for commercial, educational, municipal, healthcare, private, and public-sector projects. The ideal candidate has experience with electrical building systems , is proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit , and can produce accurate, well-coordinated construction documents while working closely with our engineering and project management teams. Responsibilities Prepare electrical construction drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit . Develop electrical plans, details, schedules, single-line diagrams, equipment layouts, and related construction documents. Support production of power, lighting, lighting controls, fire alarm, emergency power, low-voltage systems, and other electrical building system drawings . Assist with electrical system design under the direction of engineers and project managers. Prepare and update drawings throughout various phases of design and construction documentation. Coordinate drawings with architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and other design disciplines. Incorporate engineering markups, plan-check comments, and client comments into construction documents. Review drawings for accuracy, coordination, and completeness. Maintain company drafting/BIM standards and meet project schedules and deadlines. Qualifications 3+ years of MEP electrical drafting/design experience preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit required. Experience with electrical building systems preferred. Experience preparing construction documents for commercial, institutional, or similar building projects preferred. Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings. Ability to understand and implement engineering markups and design direction. Strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills. Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with engineers, project managers, and other team members. Preferred Experience Power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, and electrical equipment. Fire alarm, emergency power, and low-voltage systems. Panel schedules, single-line diagrams, and electrical details. MEP coordination with architectural and other engineering disciplines. Experience with California building projects and applicable codes is a plus.
