Full Job Description Position:

Site Design Engineer Location:

South Windsor, CT (Onsite)

Duration:

6+ Months 30%-40% Travel required We are seeking an experienced Site Design Engineer to design and optimize site layouts for the installation of fuel cell systems in various environments, with a strong focus on creating layouts for new customers. This role requires a deep understanding of construction standards, the ability to collaborate effectively with top Civil Eng. firms, and the expertise to reduce installation costs through innovative construction methods and strategies. You will work closely with clients to ensure their specific needs are met while developing cost-effective, code-compliant site layouts that facilitate efficient fuel cell system integration.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Layout Design for

Fuel Cell Systems:

Develop and design site layouts for the installation of fuel cell systems for new customers, including equipment placement, power distribution, and auxiliary systems. Ensure layouts are optimized for space, safety, operational efficiency, and scalability, tailored to each customer's specific needs.

Customer-Specific Design and Customization:

10+ years of experience in site design for complex energy, power generation, or industrial systems. Strong civil/site engineering background with experience working alongside EPC firms. Experience developing site layouts using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools. Familiarity with permitting, zoning, utility coordination, and construction standards. Customer-facing experience and the ability to manage technical requirements across multiple stakeholders. Experience with data centers, distributed generation, fuel cells, power plants, or renewable energy systems is highly desirable.

Pay:

$35.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
