OVERVIEW
Studio Green is seeking an experienced Architectural Designer II or III to support a range of residential and commercial projects. Project types include custom homes, model homes, additions, renovations, historic renovations, offices, retail spaces, amenity spaces, restaurants, and clubhouses. This is a production-focused position for someone who can independently develop and coordinate most components of a complete permit and construction-document set, with direction and review provided as needed. The position offers opportunities for professional growth and advancement toward architectural licensure within a small, collaborative firm.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Produce and coordinate most components of complete permit and construction-document sets, with direction and review provided as needed Develop floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, roof plans, elevations, building sections, wall sections, schedules, and construction details Prepare submittal packages for historic preservation, site planning, Downtown Action Committee, Planning and Zoning, and other jurisdictional reviews Incorporate redline markups accurately and carry revisions consistently throughout the entire drawing set Produce drawings efficiently and accurately in Revit, with some work in AutoCAD Architecture Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, civil, landscape, and other consultant documents Identify missing information, drawing inconsistencies, and coordination issues and assist in resolving them proactively Conduct field verification and site visits and attend construction meetings Assist with RFIs, submittal reviews, and change documentation using Bluebeam Participate in client and consultant meetings as needed Manage multiple projects, prioritize assignments, and meet established deadlines
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated ability to independently develop and coordinate most components of a complete construction-document set Experience producing permit sets that include plans, elevations, building sections, wall sections, construction details, and schedules Strong understanding of how drawings, details, schedules, and consultant documents work together as a coordinated set Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional architectural experience; additional experience is expected for the Designer III level Strong proficiency in Revit Working proficiency in AutoCAD Architecture, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Practical understanding of construction methods, building codes, zoning requirements, and permitting processes Ability to identify incomplete information and coordination conflicts rather than relying solely on redline direction Detail-oriented and thorough, with the ability to carry revisions through an entire drawing set and maintain consistency across all sheets Highly organized and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple assignments, follow through consistently, and meet deadlines Clear and open communicator who asks focused questions when clarification is needed Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with residential and small commercial projects Familiarity with the Florida Building Code and South Florida permitting jurisdictions Progress toward architectural licensure Interest in sustainable and resilient design
WORK STRUCTURE
This is a hybrid position combining remote work with required field verification, site visits, construction meetings, client meetings, and other in-person responsibilities. Candidates must live within reasonable travel distance of northern Palm Beach County.
