Job Description

Architect Department:
Professional Services Job Summary Multiple locations available (Camp Lejeune, NC, Cherry Point, NC and Parris Island, SC). Concourse Federal Group (Concourse) is seeking an Architect to provide non-personal Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) in support of the Marine Corps Barracks Initiative (MCBI). The Architect will provide architectural design review, technical analysis, and compliance verification for approximately multiple projects across various stages of the project lifecycle. The position will perform detailed reviews of design submittals, assess compliance with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), Architectural Barriers Act (ABA) requirements, and applicable design guidelines, and evaluate architectural constructability, space programming, and project-specific requirements. The Architect will also support specialized aviation, hangar, administrative, training, and support facility projects and provide architectural review comments, compliance assessments, conceptual design analysis, and technical review logs in accordance with project milestones, client requirements, and established timelines.   • Perform architectural design reviews for projects across various stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Review 35%, 60%, 90%, and 100% design submittals for architectural compliance and quality.
  • Assess designs for compliance with applicable Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), design standards, and client requirements.
  • Evaluate designs for compliance with Architectural Barriers Act (ABA) requirements.
  • Conduct space programming assessments and evaluate functionality and utilization of proposed spaces.
  • Review conceptual designs, floor plans, layouts, drawings, and other architectural documents.
  • Evaluate architectural constructability and identify design deficiencies, inconsistencies, and potential project issues.
  • Provide architectural design review for aviation, hangar, administrative, training, and support facilities.
  • Review specialized aviation facility layouts and hangar door clearance profiles.
  • Evaluate acoustic and secure-room configurations for applicable architectural and UFC requirements.
  • Prepare conceptual design packages, including rough-order layouts and drawings.
  • Prepare architectural compliance assessments, design review comments, and technical review logs.
  • Coordinate technical findings and recommendations with project stakeholders and the COR.
  • Review project documentation and deliverables for accuracy, completeness, compliance, and constructability.
  • Support project-specific technical reviews in accordance with established milestones and timelines.
  • Maintain clear and timely communication with government stakeholders, project teams, and company leadership.
  • Perform other related architectural duties as assigned. Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related discipline from an NCARB-accredited architecture program or ABET-accredited engineering program.
  • Experience performing architectural design reviews and technical compliance assessments.
  • Experience reviewing architectural drawings, specifications, design documents, and construction documents.
  • Knowledge of Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) and applicable architectural design standards.
  • Knowledge of Architectural Barriers Act (ABA) requirements.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and coordination skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, schedules, and technical deliverables.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs.
  • Experience supporting Navy/Marine Corps programs or installations.
  • Experience with federal facilities, public works, AEC, or facilities management projects.
  • Experience with aviation facilities, hangars, administrative facilities, training facilities, or specialized secure spaces.
  • NCARB certification or architectural licensure. Working Conditions
  • Work may include office, client-site, and field environments.
  • Site visits and field activities may be required based on project needs.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Onsite, hybrid, and remote schedules will be based on the current Task Order, assigned projects, client requirements, and Sr.
Project Manager requirements, including coverage, conduct, and performance.

Full-time Pay:
$93,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
