High-End Custom Cabinet Designer / Sales Professional Legacy Fine Woodworks Mooresville, NC | Lake Norman Area Full-Time | In-Person |
Showroom/Office Compensation:
Based on Experience Legacy Fine Woodworks is looking for an experienced, client-focused Custom Cabinet Designer / Sales Professional to join our team in the Lake Norman/Mooresville area. This is a key position for someone who understands high-end residential cabinetry and can confidently take a project from the first client conversation through design, pricing, approval, and a successful handoff to production. You'll work directly with homeowners, builders, interior designers, architects, and other trade professionals. This is an in-person position based from our showroom/office in Mooresville, with site visits and field measurements as needed. What You'll Do Meet with clients and guide them through cabinetry design, layouts, materials, finishes, hardware, and functional details. Design custom cabinetry for kitchens, bathrooms, built-ins, bars, offices, closets, and other custom millwork projects. Create custom cabinetry designs using Mozaik Cabinet Software . Use 2020 Design for our semi-custom cabinetry lines. Prepare drawings, elevations, renderings, proposals, and revisions. Manage the sales process from initial consultation through approved design and signed proposal. Perform or coordinate field measurements and verify critical dimensions before production. Work closely with ownership, project management, drafting, production, finishing, and installation teams. Maintain organized project files, selections, pricing, notes, and client approvals. Develop relationships with homeowners, builders, designers, architects, and other trade partners throughout the Lake Norman area. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate has prior experience in custom cabinetry, kitchen and bath design, architectural millwork, or a closely related high-end residential field .
You should also have:
Strong knowledge of cabinet construction, dimensions, clearances, appliances, fillers, panels, moldings, and installation requirements. A strong design eye and the ability to balance aesthetics, function, budget, and real-world construction limitations. Excellent communication and sales skills. Confidence working with discerning clients and high-value residential projects. Ability to read plans, interpret field conditions, and identify potential issues before they reach production or installation. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple active projects. A professional appearance and client-first approach. Self-motivation, accountability, and attention to detail. Mozaik Cabinet Software experience is strongly preferred. Candidates with hands-on Mozaik experience are especially encouraged to apply. Experience with 2020 Design is also preferred. Compensation Compensation will be based on experience, industry knowledge, design and sales ability, and the overall value you can bring to the company. We are particularly interested in candidates with an established track record in high-end custom cabinetry or residential design sales and are open to discussing the right compensation structure with a strong candidate.
