We're growing our team and looking for an experienced Residential Drafter to join our team and help bring custom home designs to life. About the Role We're seeking a part-time or full-time Residential Drafter to create home plans from initial concept through construction-ready drawings. The ideal candidate has proficiency in Revit or Chief Architect, along with a strong understanding of residential construction, architectural design, and detailed plan development. What You'll Do Develop complete and accurate residential construction drawings using Revit or Chief Architect Prepare floor plans, roof plans, elevations, building sections, architectural details, and renderings Turn design concepts, sketches, and direction into clear and coordinated drawing sets and renderings Work directly with homeowners on design and interior/exterior finish selections Build Avance Homes' floor plan library and current/past project content for the website Review drawings to identify inconsistencies and resolve issues before construction Make design and plan revisions throughout the design, permitting, and construction process Follow and maintain Avance Homes' drafting and documentation standards What We're Looking For 3-5 years of professional experience in residential drafting and design, with a portfolio that includes custom home plans Proficiency with Revit or Chief Architect Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, and building plans Experience producing detailed floor plans, elevations, sections, architectural details, and renderings Ability to think creatively and develop new home designs from a blank page A keen eye for architecture, design, and finishes Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational and time-management skills Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a design and construction team Experience working with home builders or architecture firms is strongly preferred What We Offer Competitive salary ($60,000-$80,000/year, depending on experience) Full-time, in-house position with a collaborative design and construction team The opportunity to see your designs built as real homes for real families A growing company with room for professional development How to Apply Please send your resume and a portfolio of residential/custom home work to bolsen@avancehomes.com.
