Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fiber Splicer to join our dynamic telecommunications team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fiber optic systems that form the backbone of modern communication networks. Your expertise will ensure the seamless operation of outdoor fiber optic cables and network infrastructure, supporting reliable connectivity for commercial and industrial clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with the latest splicing tools and fiber testing equipment. Duties Perform fiber optic cable splicing and termination with precision using specialized fiber splicing equipment and hand tools. Install, test, troubleshoot, and repair fiber optic systems within telecommunications networks, ensuring optimal performance. Conduct telecommunications testing using specialized testing equipment to verify signal integrity and network performance. Follow all safety protocols in accordance with the customers specifications. Collaborate with team members to plan out each day. Requirements Proven experience in telecommunications outside plant operations or related construction environments Strong knowledge of fiber optic cables, telecommunications cable installation, and network infrastructure deployment. Proficiency with diagnostic tools, telecommunication testing equipment. Construction experience combined with technical proficiency in fiber splicing and cabling is highly desirable. Valid certifications in telecommunication installation or related fields are a plus
