PURPOSE:

To hire, train and supervise employees in evaluating and repairing company products, requested by customers in accordance with company policies, procedures, and processes, and in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 145 repair requirements.

ACCOUNTABILITY

: Maintain cost-effective staffing levels during the repair of electromechanical devices such as analog instruments, valves, controls, and pressure gages in accordance with company policies, procedures, processes, and FAA regulations. Interface with Customer Service Team to effectively communicate repair reports, requirements, lead times, and status of repairs to customers. Assign and supervise daily work assignments, hold employees accountable, perform employee evaluations, and resolve personnel grievances in accordance with Company Policy and State/Federal Laws. Develop and manage repair schedules to include but be limited to repair evaluation, repair process, and cost control. Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems for continuous improvements. Review repair trends and recommend to management material buys to support repairs based on historical repair trends to improve turnaround time. Lead the efforts to maintain a safe work environment for employees and visitors. Maintain shop equipment and perform routine maintenance as outlined by M.E. Maintain floor stock and create P.O. entry forms for supplies and expensed materials as needed. Interface with M.E. on technical issues (i.e. ECN and other associated rework or upgrades. Constantly monitor shop employees, so to maintain a high quality of workmanship. Implement continuous improvement process, create and implement new policies and procedures as required. Interface with quality assurance to maintain an accurate capabilities list by adding item when needed and to ensure all FAA regulations are followed. Maintain MSDS and technical data library. Maintain a clean and functional department by applying the 5S+1 methodology. Monitor usage and calibration of instruments, gauges, and equipment in accordance with equipment schedules established by the Quality Department. Hold regular meetings with employees and encourage their participation for ways of improvement. Provides Department Manager repair function operational metrics, shipment forecast, and action plan reporting. Preparing for external audits and interfacing with external auditors.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Returned repair articles shall be evaluated within 48 hours after receiving . Coordinate with Repair Technicians and CSR to ensure return articles are repaired within 21 days TAT . Maintained cost control, labor, materials, etc. Improve repair process to align with company goals. Maintained and improved technician training and processes. Ensure repair station has proper staffing based on workload. Coordinate with Accountable Manager to add article/PMA article to repair station capability listing. EXPERIENCE

2 to 3 years of experience lead/ supervising a repair function that meets FAA Part 145 requirements. Skills and expertise in building, repairing and testing electro-mechanical devices, and analog instruments. Using equipment and tools such as flow meters, DC adapters, power supplies, multimeter, soldering irons, and standard hand tools. Reading drawings and schematics, Instructions for Continuous Airworthiness (ICA), following test procedures, and Component Maintenance Manual (CMM). Knowledge of and implementing repair function best practices. Communicating verbally and in writing. Has or held a Repairman Card. Two-year technical degree in electronics and or other formal training in electro-mechanics, or 3 to 5 years of experience as a Senior Electronics Technician.
