The Entry-Level Engineer will work under the guidance of experienced engineers while collaborating with Project Management, Production, Quality Assurance, Procurement, and Installation teams. Our engineers are encouraged to understand not only how something is designed, but how it is built, tested, installed, operated, and maintained. Your Role For day-to-day success, you will be able to… Assist with mechanical, structural, electrical, and electromechanical design activities. Develop and revise 2D drawings, 3D CAD models, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs). Perform basic engineering calculations and technical analysis under appropriate supervision. Support prototype development, testing, troubleshooting, and design validation. Assist Production with fabrication, assembly, fit-up, and technical questions. Participate in design reviews and project coordination meetings. Assist with inspection plans, quality documentation, and acceptance criteria. Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), as required. Assist with project risk assessments and identification of technical, operational, and safety risks. Support the development of preventative maintenance and inspection plans for mechanical equipment. Conduct field measurements, site surveys, installation support, and commissioning activities when required. Prepare and maintain engineering calculations, drawings, test reports, inspection records, and as-built documentation. Follow Entech's Quality Assurance, document control, safety, and engineering procedures. Research materials, components, technologies, codes, and standards applicable to project requirements. Continually develop technical knowledge and practical engineering judgment. Collaborate effectively with professionals both within and outside engineering. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, structural, or another related discipline. Recent graduates and candidates with limited professional experience are encouraged to apply. Basic proficiency with CAD/design software. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn. Ability to work in both office and fabrication/shop environments. Preferred Qualifications Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software. Previous engineering internship, co-op, fabrication, or hands-on technical experience. Familiarity with mechanical systems, fabrication, welding, testing, quality assurance, or manufacturing. Engineer Intern (EI/EIT) certification or interest in pursuing Professional Engineering development is a plus. Physical & Work Requirements The position requires extended computer work as well as activities in fabrication, testing, construction, and installation environments. Employees may be required to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, use basic hand tools and measuring equipment, and safely lift or move components within reasonable limits. Occasional travel, fieldwork, and work outside normal business hours may be required based on project needs. What Success Looks Like Successful Entry-Level Engineers at Entech are curious, dependable, hands-on, and willing to learn. We do not expect new engineers to know everything when they arrive. We expect them to ask questions, accept feedback, take ownership of their work, and continually develop their technical capabilities. The goal is to develop engineers who understand the complete project lifecycle—from concept and design through fabrication, testing, installation, and final operation—while demonstrating Entech's core values of: Confidence. Competence. Commitment. Consistency.
