Job Description

About the Role As an Industrial Electrical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the continuous operation of our production facility by maintaining complex electrical systems and automated machinery. You will leverage your expertise in PLC programming and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and optimize process control loops, directly impacting our overall manufacturing efficiency. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including drive motors, proximity switches, limit switches, and laser sensors to ensure peak performance. Maintain and troubleshoot electronic equipment, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and sophisticated process control loops. Perform advanced PLC diagnostics and program modifications on systems such as SLC 500 and ControlLogix to resolve operational bottlenecks. Execute new electrical installations, including conduit bending, wiring runs, and system upgrades to support facility improvements. Champion a culture of safety by strictly adhering to
OSHA 29CFR 1910
standards, including NFPA 70E, Lockout/Tagout, and confined space protocols. Document maintenance activities and preventative care data with high precision to ensure accurate equipment lifecycle tracking. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience in an industrial maintenance environment. Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and electronic systems without direct supervision. Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations and industrial electrical codes. Preferred Skills Advanced technical schooling or specialized electrical certification. Proven ability to perform complex PLC program changes and logic troubleshooting. Experience with data entry and maintenance management software for tracking preventative tasks.
