Job Summary:
We are looking a detail-oriented Calibration Technician to support and maintain the accuracy and reliability of measurement equipment used throughout our operations. This role is responsible for performing in-house calibrations, coordinating external calibration services, and ensuring proper documentation and control of all gauges and measurement devices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform in-house calibrations in accordance with established work instructions and procedures. Accurately enter calibration data and maintain records within HighQA software. Prepare and coordinate shipment of equipment requiring external calibration services. Schedule and coordinate on-site calibration services with approved vendors. Develop, review, and revise calibration work instructions as needed for in-house gauge calibration. Complete gauge analysis records when equipment is found to be out of calibration, including documenting impact and disposition. Maintain control and oversight of all in-house gauges, ensuring proper identification, status tracking, and compliance with calibration schedules.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in metrology, quality, or a related field preferred. 2+ years' experience with calibration processes, measurement equipment, or quality systems is required. Familiarity with calibration standards and recordkeeping systems (e.g., HighQA or similar software) is a plus. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to follow technical instructions and document processes clearly. Basic computer skills for data entry and record management. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, a plus. Understanding of measurement uncertainty and gauge control principles, a plus. Compensation based on qualifications and experience.
