Job Description

Electrical Engineering Technician Location:
Oak Brook, Onsite (occasional remote flexibility)
Contract Length:
Through December 2026, with potential for full-time conversion
Compensation:
$30-$35/hrPosition SummaryWe're seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Technician to support our Electrical and Firmware Engineering team in a fast-paced product development environment. This is a hands-on role focused on prototype builds, troubleshooting, testing, and board rework while working closely with engineers throughout the development process.

ResponsibilitiesPerform fine-pitch soldering, PCB modifications, and circuit board reworkSupport Electrical and Firmware Engineers with product development activitiesConduct RF, thermal, and power supply testingLoad and update firmware on development hardwareTroubleshoot electronic assemblies, prototypes, and circuit boardsOrder components, equipment, and engineering lab suppliesMaintain organization and cleanliness of shared lab spacesSupport and promote 6S workplace standardsDocument findings and communicate results to engineering teamsQualifications5+ years of experience as an Electronics Technician, Electrical Engineering Technician, or similar roleStrong fine-pitch soldering and PCB rework experienceExperience troubleshooting electronic hardware and prototypesExperience working directly with Electrical and/or Firmware EngineersAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience in an R D or product development environmentExperience with RF, thermal, or power testingExperience supporting embedded systems and firmware updatesWe value hands-on experience and technical capability. Candidates with strong relevant experience will be considered regardless of educational background.
