Your Impact As a Motor Repair Technician, you will be responsible for handling a variety of motor repair tasks ranging from basic to advanced. Your duties will involve the full lifecycle of product maintenance, including disassembly, cleaning, repair, assembly, and final testing. Furthermore, you will utilize your mechanical expertise and technical documentation to diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues. Compensation and Schedule The starting hourly wage for this position ranges from $21 to $27, commensurate with your professional experience. You will work a standard schedule of 40 to 45 hours per week, typically between 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM, with minimal overtime requirements. Core Duties Execute comprehensive motor repairs on assigned units, covering the entire process from initial breakdown to final testing. Help ensure optimal equipment performance by analyzing and troubleshooting technical malfunctions using mechanical diagrams. Perform routine evaluations to identify necessary components and define the scope of work based on standard protocols. Execute required repair testing to ensure all units meet internal quality standards. Manage the procurement of necessary parts for each individual unit undergoing service. Communicate daily with your supervisor regarding any potential scheduling delays or conflicts. Organize your daily task list in alignment with the priorities set by your Lead or Supervisor. Contribute to a productive workspace by maintaining your tools, toolbox, and general work area in an orderly fashion. Engage in ongoing professional development and safety training to improve your technical knowledge. Perform regular maintenance on repair and testing equipment to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. Meet the established efficiency benchmarks required for your specific technician level. Qualifications High School Diploma combined with a relevant Technical School Certification. An Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanics is preferred, though equivalent experience is acceptable. Between 1 and 5 years of hands-on experience with mechanical equipment or electric motors is highly desirable. Candidates with diverse mechanical backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
