Job Description

Repair TechnicianPay:
$17.75 per hour
Schedule:
Full-Time, Monday-Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:30
PMOvertime:
Overtime as required Penmac Staffing is seeking dependable individuals for a Repair Technician position with a manufacturing client. Requirements for the Repair TechnicianHigh school diploma or GED preferredAbility to follow verbal and written instructionsBasic math skillsStrong attention to detail and quality standardsAbility to identify problems and make repairs as neededAbility to lift up to 75 poundsAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb ladders, and reach throughout the workdayPrevious manufacturing, fiberglass repair, automotive body repair, painting, or finishing experience is helpful but not requiredMust be willing to work overtime as neededRepair Technician ResponsibilitiesAs a Repair Technician, you will inspect, repair, and finish fiberglass components to meet quality standards.
Duties may include:
Inspecting hulls, decks, and completed products for defects or damageWiping, buffing, and preparing surfaces for repairSanding, polishing, and finishing repaired areasRemoving fiberglass defects using hand and power toolsMixing and applying gel coat, catalyst, and other repair materialsCorrecting paint defects and touch-up areasRepairing cosmetic and structural imperfectionsRepairing damage that occurs during manufacturing or assemblyPerforming final inspections and detail work before products leave productionFollowing all safety and quality proceduresMaintaining a clean and organized workspacePerforming other duties as assignedWork EnvironmentThis Repair Technician position works in a manufacturing environment with exposure to fiberglass dust, chemicals, solvents, power tools, and varying temperatures. Required personal protective equipment includes safety glasses, closed-toe shoes, chemical-resistant gloves, and any additional PPE required by the client.
