This role ensures optimal equipment performance, minimizes downtime, and supports continuous improvement initiatives across production operations Essential Duties/Responsibilities Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. Troubleshoots Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and related devices Writes basic PLC programs (Ladder Logic) and understands and analyzes existing PLC ladder logic, recommends solutions, and initiates modifications as needed Responsible for hands on solutions including installations and upgrades Completes preventative maintenance as required Utilizes knowledge and experience in variable voltage circuits, 4-20mA circuits and 3 phase power up to 480v to perform assigned tasks Identifies problematic areas and inform supervisor of solutions Performs repairs in a cost-effective, safe, and environmentally friendly manner to maximize equipment availability Applies proper safety practices and follow procedures while performing maintenance tasks Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Vocational or Technical degree 2+ years of experience troubleshooting and programming PLCs (Ladder Logic) Ability to read and understand repairs manuals and drawings Demonstrated knowledge relating to Programmable Logic Controller installation, troubleshooting, programming, including knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic devices as related to PLCs Preferred Qualifications Associate degree preferred 1+ years of experience in supporting Rockwell Automation PLC Ability to interact within a multi-disciplined team
