Fiber Splicing Subcontractor Opportunity Hazard, KY and Surrounding Areas Horizon Contracting Services is seeking experienced Fiber Optic Splicing Subcontractors for upcoming telecommunications projects in Hazard, Kentucky, and surrounding areas. This is a 1099 subcontractor opportunity for individuals or crews with their own equipment and transportation. Responsibilities Fiber optic fusion splicing Fiber testing and troubleshooting OTDR testing and documentation Installation and maintenance of splice closures Aerial and underground fiber splicing Reading network prints and splice diagrams Maintaining quality standards and customer specifications Requirements Experience with fiber optic fusion splicing Ability to provide test results and documentation Reliable transportation Professional communication and work ethic Ability to work independently Valid driver's license Preferred Qualifications Existing telecommunications contracting experience Splice trailer or dedicated mobile setup Experience with aerial and underground fiber networks General liability insurance Existing telecommunications safety certifications Equipment Requirements Subcontractors must provide their own: Fusion splicer OTDR and testing equipment Fiber preparation tools Vehicle and transportation Safety equipment Any additional tools required to complete assigned work Compensation Competitive piece-rate and project-based compensation Earnings based on production and accepted work Compensation varies by project scope and experience Opportunities for ongoing work in Eastern Kentucky Insurance Subcontractors with existing liability insurance are preferred. Compensation structures may vary depending on insurance coverage and equipment provided. Pay:

$300.00 - $600.00 per day
