Full Job Description Responsibilities:
  • Assemble, integrate, and test mechanical, electrical, and electronic components and systems.
  • Perform wiring cable assembly mechanical assembly and equipment integration using hand tools and standard shop equipment.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to troubleshoot hardware, identify issues, and implement practical solutions.
  • Support the transition of engineering designs and prototypes into repeatable manufacturing processes.
  • Assist with developing, improving and documenting manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and assembly processes.
  • Perform product inspections and quality-control checks to ensure components and finished systems meet specifications.
  • Support board bring-up and troubleshooting under engineer direction, including setup and basic use of DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and related bench instruments.
  • Prepare boards, fixtures, and samples for lab testing customer demonstrations, supplier questions, and internal engineering reviews.
  • Assist with inventory, materials, and supply-chain activities to support production schedules.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, assembly instructions, and technical documentation.
  • Use CAD software to review designs, make basic modifications, and support engineering and manufacturing activities.
  • Communicate technical concepts, project updates, issues, and results effectively with engineering manufacturing, and customer-facing teams.
  • Support multiple projects and responsibilities in a fast-paced, hands-on engineering environment.
Requirements:
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting and solving mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical problems.
  • Perform microscope-based soldering, fine-pitch rework, component replacement, wire modifications, jumper work, and board cleanup. Proficiency with hand tools and common mechanical/electrical assembly equipment.
  • Experience with product inspection, quality control, and/or manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with supply-chain, inventory, or materials-management activities.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
  • Familiarity with CAD software; EAGLE, Cadence OrCAD, SolidWorks
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to understand common component sizes/packages, wire gauges, connectors, simple mechanical fit constraints and basic prototype0build requirements.
  • Comfort reading schematics placement references, BOMs, build instructions, and engineering notes well enough to execute work and ask precise clarifying questions.
  • Flexible, practical problem-solving approach in a development-lab environment where priorities can change quickly.
Pay:
$27.66 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
