Job Description

Sappington Pro Outdoor is a leading dealership and service center specializing in high-performance powersports vehicles, including motorcycles, ATVs and UTVs as well as Lawn and Garden equipment. We're committed to delivering top-tier service, expert repairs, and unmatched customer satisfaction.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Powersports/ Lawn and Garden mechanic to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of powersports vehicles. This position requires technical expertise, efficiency, and a passion for motorsports.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in motorcycles, ATVs and UTVs. Perform routine maintenance, tune-ups, engine rebuilds, and full-service repairs. Conduct pre-repair inspections and post-repair quality checks. Install aftermarket accessories and performance upgrades. Accurately complete repair orders and service documentation. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace. Stay current on new models, service bulletins, and diagnostic techniques. Communicate with customers and service advisors as needed to explain repairs and provide status updates.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience as a Powersports Technician or Mechanic, or equivalent experience.. Also, willing to train the right person. Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills across multiple brands and vehicle types. Certification from
MMI, OEM
manufacturer training, or similar is a plus. Proficiency with diagnostic tools, service manuals, and shop equipment. Valid driver's license (motorcycle endorsement preferred). Ability to lift heavy parts and work in physically demanding environments. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong work ethic, punctuality, and team collaboration. Must have your own tools. OEM specialty tools provided by Sappington Pro Outdoor.
Preferred Qualifications:
OEM certifications (Honda, Yamaha, Polaris, BRP, KTM, etc.) Welding or fabrication experience Electrical systems or EFI tuning experience
