Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Calibration Technician to join our dynamic and industrial maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the precision and accuracy of critical equipment through meticulous calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Your expertise will help maintain optimal operational performance, uphold safety standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Duties We are seeking a detail-oriented Calibration Technician to join our laboratory team. In this role, you will perform precision calibrations, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting on physical/mechanical measurement equipment, with a heavy emphasis on Dillon mechanical and digital dynamometers, tension meters, and force gauges . You will ensure that all equipment meets rigorous internal standards, customer requirements, with full NIST traceability Document calibration results, maintenance activities, troubleshooting steps, and system modifications accurately in maintenance logs and calibration records.

Calibration & Testing:

Perform accurate tension and compression calibrations on Dillon dynamometers (e.g., AP, EDxtreme, EDjunior) and various mechanical/digital force gauges. Use specialized force-generating fixtures, deadweight testers, and high-capacity master load cells.

Data & Documentation:

Generate detailed Calibration Certificates . Document "as-found" and "as-left" data, calculation uncertainty, and error margins using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and calibration software.

Troubleshooting & Repair:

Diagnose malfunctioning force measurement instruments. Disassemble, repair, or replace components (e.g., pointers, crystal faces, electronics, load cell pins), and recalibrate to verify the success of the repair.

Steady hand-eye coordination for disassembling delicate dials, digital components, and handling heavy tension/force fixtures.

Experience navigating calibration software, inputting data rapidly into databases.

Physical Stamina:

Ability to lift and maneuver heavy force equipment, weights, and high-capacity dynamometers (up to 50 lbs unassisted).
