Fiber Optic Technician Job Description We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Fiber Optic Technician to join our team. This entry-level position does not require extensive experience, as we are willing to train the right candidate who possesses a strong work ethic, good attendance, and eagerness to learn a new trade. This is a full-time position with pay determined based on experience. Responsibilities Assist with installing, pulling, and routing fiber optic cable. Help with cable termination and testing. Support technicians on job sites. Follow safety procedures and company standards. Read basic instructions and complete assigned tasks. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Essential Skills Reliable transportation to and from work. Ability to work outdoors and in various weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor. Strong attendance and punctuality. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Additional Skills & Qualifications Low voltage, installation, fiber optic, cabling, electrical, splicing, optic, splice, cabling installation, cable. Work Environment Work outdoors in various weather conditions. The role involves physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs. Dress code is appropriate for fieldwork, and safety standards are strictly followed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Apex, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
