Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Setup Technician to support the transition from traditional manual manufacturing equipment to modern automated production systems. This position plays an important role in equipment conversion, machine setup, troubleshooting, process improvements, and the successful integration of automation technologies. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical background, experience setting up and adjusting manufacturing equipment, and an interest in expanding their skills in robotics, sensors, PLC-controlled machinery, and automated production systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up, adjust, and optimize manufacturing equipment to meet production and quality standards. Support the conversion of manual manufacturing processes to automated production systems. Perform machine changeovers, tooling installations, and equipment adjustments. Assist with installation, commissioning, and startup of new automated equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and equipment control issues. Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams during equipment upgrades and automation projects. Verify machine setups and perform first-piece inspections to ensure quality requirements are met. Monitor equipment performance, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements. Perform preventive maintenance and basic equipment repairs. Assist with robotic cells, conveyors, sensors, vision systems, and automated material handling equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documentation. Document setup procedures, machine parameters, and process improvements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Setup Technician, Machine Technician, Manufacturing Technician, or similar position. Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting abilities. Hands-on experience setting up CNC, assembly, packaging, molding, stamping, or other manufacturing equipment. Ability to read mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation. Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Basic computer skills and experience working with industrial equipment controls. Strong attention to detail, safety, and product quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education or training in Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, Electromechanical Technology, or Manufacturing Technology. Experience supporting manufacturing automation projects or equipment upgrades. Familiarity with PLC-controlled machinery, including Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar systems. Experience with robotics, servo systems, sensors, and automated production lines. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or process optimization.

Schedule:

Monday-Thursday, 6:30 AM-5:00 PM.

Regular three-day weekends.

Overtime:

Available at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate.

Weekly Pay:

Direct deposit every Thursday for the previous week's work. Paid Holidays - 8 to 10 Annually Employees receive approximately 8-10 designated paid holidays per year, subject to the company holiday calendar. Holidays falling on regularly scheduled Monday-Thursday workdays are paid. Holidays falling outside the regular Monday-Thursday schedule are not paid under the stated policy. Paid Vacation & Vacation Buyback Vacation accrues at 1.53 hours per week, up to 80 hours annually based on 52 weeks of accrual. Employees may begin using accrued vacation after 91 days of employment. Vacation may be taken in increments as small as one hour. Company offers a vacation buyback option for up to 25 hours of accrued vacation, subject to company policy.
