Overview :

Under general supervision, the Electronics Technician, Maintenance I will perform a variety of complex electronics support work applying methods, techniques, and procedures. Job Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Must be 18 years of age at time of hire. Must have two (2) or more years of electronics maintenance experience. Must have a background in mechanics, maintenance, and repair occupations. Moderate to intermediate understanding of electrical and electronic circuits, and establishment of testing methods for electrical, electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical devices and mechanisms is required. Valid (active) driver's license is required. Must be computer literate. Must be able to pass a tower climber certification course. Must be able to pass (and maintain) an extensive federal background screening, in order to gain access to this federal property/military base. Fundamental/Essential Duties Applies comprehensive technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions. Experience performing such tasks as replacing components and wiring circuits; repairing simple electronic equipment; and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multimeters, Communication Analyzers, RF Analyzers, and oscilloscopes. Must be capable of climbing communication towers and working at heights up to 200-feet and successfully pass a tower climbing certification course. Any/all (related) duties as assigned.
