No Position Purpose:
Facilitates hands-on, experiential learning across the engineering curriculum by developing and running course-specific laboratory sessions and advising students on course-based projects. Required Qualifications -
Education and Yrs Exp:
Bachelors plus 3-5 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Required Qualifications -
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Bachelor's degree in an engineering, science, or related field. Five years of post-graduate experience with engineering/scientific design and analysis. Broad technical knowledge spanning physics, mathematics, engineering, and related disciplines. Focused technical knowledge in two or more of the following engineering specialties: electrical, mechanical, energy/thermal, fluids, materials science, chemical, biological, mechatronics/control systems. Comfortable working in an engineering laboratory environment, including proficiency with standard electronic instrumentation and/or discipline-specific equipment. Proficiency with an array of technical computing software packages (e.g. MATLAB, SolidWorks). Excellent analytical, communication, and teaching skills. Commitment to diversity and to serving the needs of a diverse community.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree and/or significant industry experience preferred. Academic and/or teaching experience is an asset. Department Contact for
