Job Description

Engineering Technician If you want to use your mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills in an exciting industry, then this Engineering Technician position is for you! You'll assist the company's engineers with process and tooling development, data collecting and analysis, procurement needs, and clerical record keeping, among other tasks. Responsibilities of the Engineering Technician Provide direct technical support to internal customers and process stakeholders throughout the manufacturing plant Perform various shop floor control and material planning functions, and input data into MRP system Help develop engineering change proposals to specifications and drawings; create part specific work instructions Research outside vendors, arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, tooling, etc., and verify that purchased items meet specifications and quality standards Collect information and data used by management regarding manufacturing capabilities, production times and scheduling, staffing requirements, and other production considerations Assist engineers with research and development of new product design, required tooling, and efficient production methods on new parts Apply rudimentary knowledge of rigid tube, flexible hose, and metal joining manufacturing processes Implement Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing methods Support cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications of the Engineering Technician High school diploma required, associate degree preferred; or 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Knowledge of welding and brazing processes Strong math skills Computer proficiency including database software, design software, spreadsheets, and word processing Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing, and/or Kaizen techniques a plus We look forward to hearing from you about this Engineering Technician opportunity!
