Subject Matter Expert (SME) to serve as a technical leader within our Production team.
This role is designed for experienced repair professionals who are passionate about sharing their expertise, mentoring developing technicians, and helping drive growth within their area of specialization. In addition to performing advanced electronic and electro-mechanical repairs, the Senior Technician SME serves as a key technical resource for the department by supporting troubleshooting efforts, establishing best practices, improving quality standards, and helping technicians develop their skills. This position is ideal for a proven technical expert who enjoys both hands-on repair work and coaching others to succeed. Key Responsibilities
Perform bench-level electronic and electro-mechanical repairs using advanced troubleshooting, repair, and soldering techniques
Serve as a subject matter expert within your designated product area
Support and mentor technicians by sharing technical knowledge, troubleshooting techniques, and repair best practices
Assist with onboarding, training, and development of new technicians
Serve as a technical resource for department leadership and technician teams
Help improve repair quality, capabilities, and overall department performance
Participate in technical planning, process development, and work instruction creation within your area of expertise
Support technician development initiatives and retention efforts across the organization
Collaborate with management to identify opportunities for capability growth and service expansion
Meet established productivity and repair output goals while maintaining high quality standards
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and technical development projects What We Are Looking For
Minimum of five years of bench repair experience within your product area of expertise
Demonstrated subject matter expertise in industrial electronics or industrial controls repair
Strong mentoring and coaching abilities with a passion for developing others
Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Ability to work independently while supporting team development
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Proven ability to maintain productivity while delivering exceptional repair quality
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Must provide personal tools as specified by the hiring manager Knowledge and Skills
Strong soldering and component-level repair skills
Understanding of industrial controls repair processes and methodologies
Strong computer proficiency
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and make technical decisions
Excellent communication and mentoring skills
High attention to detail and quality standards Education and Experience
High School Diploma required
Technical School Certification in a related technical field required
Five or more years of bench-level repair experience within your area of expertise preferred
Industrial controls, electronics, or technical repair experience required
Technical or industrial product knowledge preferred Certifications
Technical School Certification in a related field required Compensation & Bonus The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $30.00
34.00 per hour . Within the base pay range, individual compensation is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This role is eligible for commission after successful completion of the introductory 90-day period. Radwell Benefits

Additional voluntary benefits available to full-time employees Work Schedule This position is typically scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm and/or 10:00am to 7:00pm with a one-hour lunch break.
Scheduled overtime, including Saturdays, may be required based on business needs and customer service requirements. Employees are expected to maintain adherence to attendance, scheduling, and coverage policies. Work Environment This position operates within a warehouse and repair facility environment. Employees work with industrial electronic and electro-mechanical equipment, diagnostic tools, soldering equipment, and other repair-related devices. Frequent standing, walking, and repetitive hand motions are required. Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds may be necessary. Employees are required to follow all company safety policies, wear approved company apparel, maintain identification badges, and adhere to all workplace safety requirements.
