Champlain Valley Equipment, a Vermont-headquartered agricultural and light industrial equipment business, is seeking a full-time Setup and Service Technician in Batavia, New York. In this hands-on role, you will prepare tractors and farm equipment for display and sale, perform routine maintenance, and diagnose and repair equipment issues. Dealership hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and most Saturdays, 8:00 a.m. to noon. Responsibilities Set up tractors and farm equipment for product display and customer sales. Perform routine equipment maintenance, including cleaning and servicing. Test and inspect equipment to identify malfunctions and missing or broken parts, using diagnostic instruments as needed. Repair or replace defective parts and verify completed repairs. Accurately document repairs, time spent, and parts used. Show customers how to maintain their equipment. Qualifications Mechanical aptitude. Tools for setup, maintenance, and repair work. Computer skills and knowledge of electronic service tools. Farm background preferred.
