Job Description

HumanHire is working with a manufacturer of fiber optic system to find an Electronics Technician to join their teams in Commack ! This is a family-owned company that's been in business on Long Island for over 30 years. They have a reputation for providing tremendous work/life balance and opportunities for advancement. In this role, you'll be troubleshooting complex circuits to the component level, reading schematics, and making sure every product is fully tested and documented before it ships.
They offer:
$32 to $35/hr based on experience. 7AM to 3:30PM with OT opportunities during busy periods. Health, vision, and dental insurance. 10 days of PTO, 4 sick days, and 10 paid holidays! 401(k) retirement plan.
Electronics Technician Responsibilities:
Dig into failed boards and assemblies and track every problem down to the component level. Diagnose faults in fiber optic transmitters, receivers, and signal conversion equipment. Use oscilloscopes, DMMs, and bench power supplies to isolate issues quickly. Rework and repair boards with precision and surface mount soldering. Find the root cause of recurring failures and work with engineering to fix them at the source. Run final functional tests on every unit and sign off before it shipS.
Electronics Technician Qualifications:
Associate degree in Electronics or a trade school certificate. At least 2+ years of experience troubleshooting complex designs and circuits. Strong troubleshooting instincts and a methodical approach to finding root cause. Confident working from schematics and wiring diagrams. A steady hand with fine pitch soldering and board rework. Comfortable on standard electronics test equipment. A sharp eye for detail and pride in shipping products that work right the first time.
