Position Overview:
The Technical Product Repair Specialist I plays a vital role in repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining Laerdal's industryleading medical simulation products. This handson technical position is responsible for diagnosing hardware and software issues, ensuring all products meet quality standards, and delivering timely and effective repair solutions for customers. The role also includes managing incoming and outgoing repair shipments, documenting work accurately, and collaborating with internal teams to support new product testing and continuous improvement. This position is ideal for individuals with strong technical aptitude, problemsolving skills, and a commitment to providing highquality service.
Responsibilities:
Product Repair & Technical Support Repair, calibrate, and maintain medical devices and simulation equipment. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues. Perform quality testing to ensure repaired products meet performance standards. Support warranty and nonwarranty service needs and assist with new product testing. Customer Communication & Service Provide clear updates to customers on repair status, diagnostics, and shipping. Generate quotes for outofwarranty repairs and manage timely followup. Deliver service aligned with Laerdal Values and strong customer satisfaction. Repair Workflow & Documentation Log and track repair cases in the ERP system, prioritizing and escalating as needed. Maintain accurate repair records, inventory documentation, and cycle counts. Shipping, Receiving & Inventory Receive, inspect, and document incoming repairs and materials. Organize, label, and store inventory in designated areas. Prepare outbound shipments and follow standard receiving and confirmation procedures.
Requirements:
Minimum of 1-year experience in a technical support/computer repair environment preferred 2-year technology degree and post school experience preferred Computer networking experience/knowledge Strong computer literacy skills (Microsoft platform) with an emphasis on software knowledge, installations and use. Strong customer service-oriented attitude along with excellent telephone presence Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment or packages up to 40-50 lbs. Ability to stand for extended periods while performing repair tasks. Ability to operate power tools and testing equipment required for diagnostics, repair, and assembly.
Salary Range:
$50,000 - $55,000, eligible 7% annual bonus Please note that this range does not include any other compensation or benefits that an individual may be eligible for.
