Instructor âEUR" Electrical/Electronics Instrumentation #230125 Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology 494888 Campus OSU-Institute of Technology Contact Name & Email Paula Harrold, paula.harrold@okstate.edu Work Schedule Monday through Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm with occasional evenings and weekends. About this Position
GENERAL SUMMARY
This teaching position includes designing and facilitating learning environments in applied science degree programs. The programs award an Associate in Applied Science degree in Engineering Technologies with a specialization in Electrical Electronics and Bachelor of Technology degree in Instrumentation Technology. The focus of this instructional position will be in the operation, design, installation, repair and maintenance of systems typically found in manufacturing, processing, and utility industries. The main focus of this instructional position will be in the areas on automated measurement and control of pressure, temperature, flow, and level.
Required Qualifications Education :
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university; master's degree strongly preferred. Other combinations of education and industry experience may be substituted for degree requirement with appropriate approval.
Experience:
Evidences a history of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior. Five (5) years documented successful work experience in related industry. Teaching experience in Higher Education preferred. Demonstrated success in collaborating with various constituencies. Certifications, Registrations, and/or

Valid Oklahoma driver's license. Skills, Proficiencies, and/or

Skills and Abilities :
Ability to plan, organize and fulfill complex initiatives. Computer skills to include electronic communications, word processing, and the ability to use specific software associated with the position are necessary. Ability to maintain high standards of work, initiative, commitment, ethics, professional responsibility and judgment. Ability to work effectively with and promote various populations. Superior interpersonal skills-including the ability to effectively recognize and resolve complex problems in a constructive manner. Must exhibit characteristics of a team player, willing to take initiative and assume responsibility. Ability to foster and support innovation and excellence.
Communication Skills :
Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively recognize and resolve conflict.
