About the Role As an Instrumentation and Controls Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and precision of complex industrial systems. You will utilize your technical expertise to maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot advanced electronic and automated equipment, directly contributing to the operational success of critical field projects. Responsibilities Execute the installation, calibration, and maintenance of instrumentation, control circuits, PLCs, and automated process control systems. Operate and program EDM sinker machinery to achieve high-precision manufacturing outcomes. Perform comprehensive diagnostics using digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and specialized simulators to ensure system integrity. Interpret complex schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering blueprints to guide effective repair and assembly processes. Maintain detailed maintenance logs and documentation to ensure compliance with rigorous engineering standards. Perform field cable installation and support generalized I&C field operations across various project sites. Adhere to all safety and quality protocols to ensure a secure and efficient work environment. Required Skills High school diploma, GED, or equivalent professional experience. Demonstrated experience in electronics, instrumentation, or industrial control systems. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate precision machinery. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and electrical schematics. Ability to perform field-based work and travel as required by project demands. Preferred Skills Military background in electronics, avionics, or similar technical fields. Prior experience with ZAP EDM or comparable sinker/wire EDM equipment. 2+ years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance or electrical troubleshooting. Advanced knowledge of industrial electrical systems and diagnostic procedures.
