Responsibilities include conducting advanced preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, modular overhauls, and troubleshooting on pallet handling equipment and related electrical systems. Essential Functions Perform advanced preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on ASRS pallet handling equipment including cranes, trolleys, conveyors, elevators, and related machinery. Troubleshoot and repair 3-phase electrical systems, variable frequency drives, servo drives, and PLC systems. Program and configure barcode scanners, print and apply label systems, light curtains, etc. Conduct modular overhauls and configure barcode scanners, print and apply label systems, and light curtains. Maintain and update preventive maintenance records accurately. Ensure cleanliness of the work area and perform housekeeping duties as required. Work flexible shifts including on-call assignments as needed. Other essential duties may be applicable and assigned as necessary. What Experience and Education You Need Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience on ASRS or equivalent systems. Proficient with preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and troubleshooting on 3-phase electrical systems. Proficient in troubleshooting programmable logic controller (PLC) systems. Proficient with computerized maintenance management systems. Knowledge of lubrication, power transmission, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Understanding of electrical safety including arc flash. Experience using Lockout Tagout procedures and devices. Understanding of principles of lubrication, power transmission (i.e., sprockets, chains, belts, drives, clutches), hydraulics, and pneumatics. Proficient with industrial machine Ethernet networking, electrical wiring of equipment and system control panels, and sensors and devices (i.e., photo eyes, proximity sensors, limit switches). Experience with change management methodology related to programming system controls. What Could Set You Apart Experience working in a cold storage environment. Experience using Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLC systems. Experience programming PLCs. Completion of HAZMAT Responder training. Completion of RETA courses. Physical Requirements Able to tolerate working environment with inside controlled temperatures of minus 45 (-45) degrees Fahrenheit (-43 degrees Celsius) and outside ambient temperatures (including heat, cold and precipitation). Able to work at heights in excess of 30 ft. (9 meters) and access elevated platforms, catwalks, and roofs. Able to work in confined areas. Able to climb ladders and stairs. Able frequently to stand, walk, push, pull, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, and/or crouch. Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (23 kg) frequently. Able to operate hand and power tools safely. Able to meet specific vision abilities required by this job, including close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception. (Use of contacts are prohibited when working with ammonia.) Depending on specific role, able to pass a physical and respiratory/respirator fit exam. Able to frequently step up/on or step down/off to mount and dismount material handling equipment. Able to perform fine articulation movements with fingers/hands and/or feet to operate equipment.
