Our equipment incorporates Panasonic PLCs, 24 VDC controls, SMC electronic flow controllers, pneumatic valves, power supplies, relays, switches, sensors, HMIs, connectors, and custom wiring. Initial work includes several returned controllers requiring prompt diagnosis and repair. Longer-term opportunities include controller assembly, test-fixture development, documentation, preventive updates, and recurring service.
Responsibilities:
Inspect and diagnose returned controller systems. Upload and preserve existing PLC programs before making changes. Troubleshoot 24 VDC power, inputs, outputs, sensors, relays, wiring, and pneumatic components. Replace connectors, terminals, switches, power supplies, PLCs, flow controllers, valves, and other components. Perform through-hole soldering and appropriate electronic rework. Correct or develop wiring diagrams, I/O records, and service documentation. Program or restore Panasonic PLCs when qualified. Conduct and document functional acceptance testing. Support future small-quantity controller assembly.
Required qualifications:
Demonstrated industrial controls, mechatronics, automation, or industrial electronics experience. Ability to troubleshoot 24 VDC systems using a multimeter and bench equipment. PLC upload, backup, download, and troubleshooting experience. Ability to read electrical schematics and trace wiring. Careful documentation and change-control practices. Availability to work periodically in the Frisco/Dallas area.
Preferred qualifications:
Panasonic FP-series PLC and programming-software experience. SMC pneumatic and electronic flow-control experience. Control-panel, cable-harness, or small box-build assembly. Analog signal experience, including 0-10 V or 4-20 mA. Experience building test fixtures and acceptance procedures. This role begins with a paid practical evaluation and project work. Candidates should provide their location, availability, hourly rate, PLC platforms used, relevant equipment experience, and examples or references from similar work.
Pay:
