Mansfield, TX Typical Gross Weekly take home (for a full work week) $1,200-$1,600, based on 40 hours We are specifically looking for technicians experienced in composite repair, metal bonding, structural component repair, wet layup, and/or hot bond processes . Airline-only experience does not meet the requirements for this position. Assembly experience may be considered only when combined with applicable Part 145/MRO repair experience. Responsibilities Perform composite and metal bond repairs on aircraft components and subassemblies. Read and interpret technical data, including CMMs, SRMs, IPCs, engineering orders, blueprints, and engineering drawings. Complete repairs in accordance with FAA, customer, and company requirements. Remove damaged composite material without causing additional damage to underlying structures. Prepare surfaces and perform composite layups using both pre-impregnated materials and wet layup processes. Prepare surfaces and perform metal-to-metal bonding repairs. Perform repairs utilizing autoclave and hot bond methods. Fabricate temporary and permanent tooling required to complete bonding operations. Maintain required contours and alignment of piece parts during the repair process. Assemble repaired aircraft components and subassemblies. Inspect completed work to ensure product quality and compliance with specifications. Support first article inspections as required. Properly use applicable shop tooling, ground support equipment, and test equipment. Follow technical instructions and established repair procedures while maintaining productivity and quality. Required Qualifications Previous FAA Part 145 Repair Station, aviation MRO, or comparable component repair-shop experience required. Hands-on aviation composite and/or metal bond repair experience on aircraft, components, or subassemblies. Ability to read and interpret CMMs, SRMs, IPCs, engineering orders, blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical publications. Experience performing hands-on aviation component repairs. Ability to understand and follow detailed technical instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively with other technicians and shop personnel. Preferred Experience Composite wet layup and pre-preg repair experience. Metal-to-metal bonding experience. Autoclave and hot bond experience. Aircraft component and subassembly repair. Fixed-wing or rotorcraft mechanical experience. Familiarity with ground support equipment, test equipment, and aviation shop tooling.

Pay:

$30.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
