Powersports Technician / Mechanic South Main Iron Premium Powersports | Paris, Texas | Full-time South Main Iron Premium Powersports is hiring an experienced technician who enjoys solving problems and delivering quality work—from electrical diagnostics and engine rebuilds to accessory installations and customization. Located in historic downtown Paris, Texas, South Main Iron is a motorcycle enthusiast destination with a growing service department. We're looking for a dependable, skilled technician who treats every customer's machine with care and takes pride in getting the job done right. What you'll work on Diagnostics and troubleshooting: Find the root cause of starting, running, performance, and drivability concerns using diagnostic equipment, service manuals, and systematic testing.

Engine repairs and rebuilds:

Perform engine teardown, inspection, component measurement, repair, and reassembly according to manufacturer specifications.

Electrical repairs:

Troubleshoot wiring, charging systems, starting systems, lighting, sensors, and other electrical components using wiring diagrams and a multimeter.

Accessories and customization:

Install accessory lighting, handlebars, controls, audio systems, and other upgrades with careful attention to fitment, wiring, and finish.

Maintenance and mechanical repairs:

Complete scheduled maintenance and repairs involving brakes, tires, suspension, fuel systems, clutches, and drivetrains.

Quality control:

Verify completed repairs, document your work, and communicate findings and additional service needs to the service team. What we're looking for We want someone who can work through a problem, explain what they found, and complete a repair they can stand behind. You should be comfortable with complex mechanical work, attentive to detail, and willing to ask questions when needed. Qualifications MMI graduate -OR- at least two years of verifiable service technician experience. Strong mechanical diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills. Hands-on experience with engine repairs, rebuilds, and accessory installations. Own the tools needed to perform service, repair, and customization work. Ability to follow service manuals, wiring diagrams, torque specifications, and repair procedures. Self-motivated, organized, punctual, and committed to quality workmanship. Basic computer skills for service information and repair documentation. At least one year of motorcycle riding experience.
