ASAP Job Description Superior Skilled Trades is seeking experienced Fiber Technicians for a large-scale lithium refinery construction project in Corpus Christi, TX. Candidates will be responsible for installing, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting fiber optic systems in a fast-paced industrial construction environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working on commercial, industrial, refinery, data center, or large-scale construction projects with knowledge of fiber installation practices, cable routing, and testing procedures. Responsibilities Install, pull, route, and secure fiber optic cabling including single-mode and multi-mode fiber. Install fiber through conduit, cable tray, J-hooks, and other support systems. Perform fiber optic terminations, connectorization, and fusion splicing. Install fiber racks, cabinets, patch panels, enclosures, and network equipment. Test and troubleshoot fiber optic systems using OTDR, power meters, and light source testing equipment. Perform cable labeling, documentation, and quality checks. Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and fiber pathway layouts. Coordinate with electrical, low voltage, and other construction trades. Maintain a clean and safe work area while following all site safety requirements. Follow OSHA standards and project-specific safety procedures. Qualifications 2+ years of fiber optic installation experience in a construction environment. Experience with fiber pulling, routing, splicing, terminations, and testing. Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings. Experience installing fiber in industrial, commercial, refinery, or large-scale construction projects preferred. OSHA 10 Construction certification required. Must be able to pass background check and drug screen. Must have reliable transportation and basic hand tools. Ability to work 60+ hours per week, including overtime as needed. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work outdoors and in active construction areas. Ability to climb ladders, work from lifts, and work at elevated heights. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
