Punch/Laser Setup Mechanic Pay:
$26- 33/HR Bring your setup expertise to a team that values precision, quality, and craftsmanship. We're seeking an experienced Punch/Laser Setup Mechanic to perform machine setups, tooling changes, maintenance, troubleshooting, and production support in a fast-paced sheet metal fabrication environment. Responsibilities
- Set up and configure punch presses and laser cutting equipment for production
- Interpret blueprints, travelers, and work instructions to ensure accurate production
- Install, maintain, and sharpen punch tooling as required
- Adjust machine parameters based on material type, thickness, and production requirements
- Perform preventative maintenance and complete maintenance documentation
- Inspect parts for quality and make necessary machine adjustments
- Identify and report tooling, equipment, and documentation issues
- Maintain organized tooling and work areas
- Complete quality checks and production documentation accurately
- Work closely with supervisors and other departments to support production goals Requirements
- Experience setting up and operating punch presses and laser machines
- Knowledge of Pega and laser systems, tooling, and machine parameters
- Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing documentation
- Understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes and cut conditions
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
