Job Description
Must-Haves:
High school diploma, GED, HSD, or equivalent Valid driver's license Automotive industry experience (dealership, shop, or related professional environment) ASE Certification(s), including one or more of the following: A1 Engine Repair A2 Automatic Transmission/Transaxle A3 Manual Drivetrain & Axles A4 Suspension & Steering A5 Brakes A6 Electrical Systems A7 Heating & Air Conditioning A8 Engine Performance L1 Advanced Engine Performance Ability to train, mentor, and work with students in both classroom and shop settings Professional automotive experience Maturity and strong communication skills
Plusses:
Previous teaching, training, mentoring, or instructional experience Vocational or technical school experience Experience with work-based learning or apprenticeship-style programs Mitchell 1 Software Suite experience
Day-to-Day:
Teach automotive students in both classroom and hands-on shop environments Deliver lectures on automotive theory, diagnostics, repair, and safety procedures Guide students through required trade competencies and training objectives Utilize Training Achievement Record Reports (TAR/ETAR) to track student progress Supervise and support students performing hands-on automotive repairs and diagnostics Prepare students for entry into the automotive workforce Coordinate work-based learning opportunities with community partners Assess student performance and provide ongoing coaching and feedback Adapt instruction to students at different training and experience levels Work closely with instructional assistants and vocational school staff Insight Global is seeking an Automotive Maintenance Light Repair Instructor for a leading vocational education client. This individual will be responsible for developing the next generation of automotive technicians through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on shop training. The ideal candidate brings real-world automotive experience, ASE certifications, and a passion for mentoring students. The instructor will guide students through industry-standard repair procedures, help them achieve required trade competencies, and prepare them for successful careers in automotive service. Pay:
$45,000.00 per year
