Job Description

Senior Electrical Engineer responsible for designing, evaluating, testing, and documenting aircraft electrical systems, wiring, and EMI/EMC protection solutions. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of aviation-related experience, or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of directly related experience. Experience with AS50881 aerospace vehicle wiring requirements. Knowledge of
AC 43.13-1B
standards and practices. Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks Electrical. Experience designing electrical diagrams, block diagrams, and interface control documents. Experience developing conceptual and detailed wiring diagrams. Experience with aircraft wire and cable selection based on signal type, current, voltage, EMC, and EMI requirements. Experience performing first article testing on newly designed electrical components. Experience creating or modifying code for system testing and debugging. Proficiency with multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers. Ability to travel occasionally to domestic and international locations. Preferred Skills 10+ years of electrical engineering design experience supporting military and civil aviation. SolidWorks Electrical experience. Experience with FAA Supplemental Type Certificate approval processes. Experience with military airworthiness processes. Knowledge of RF principles. Familiarity with harness-related military specifications. Knowledge of manufacturing processes. Experience with electrical and electronic test instrumentation. Job Responsibilities Evaluate existing aircraft electrical systems, components, and applications through testing and implementation activities. Design, build, and test electrical components and systems. Develop electrical schematics, block diagrams, and interface control documents. Create conceptual wiring diagrams and release detailed wiring documentation. Define EMC segregation routes based on signal type and aircraft requirements. Develop and implement EMI protection methods. Select wires and cables based on electrical load, voltage, signal, EMC, and EMI requirements. Perform first article testing for newly designed electrical components and systems. Develop or modify test and debugging code for new systems. Perform electrical testing using multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and related instrumentation. Support electrical system integration, verification, and troubleshooting activities. Maintain engineering documentation in accordance with applicable aviation standards and requirements.
