Duties

REQUIREMENTS

6-10+ years of experience in instrumentation and controls design. Willing and able to multi-task and hop between projects of various sizes (usually large and medium). Strong AutoCAD experience; Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical. Experience supporting capital projects within a chemical manufacturing, process manufacturing, industrial, power, or similar heavy industrial environment. Experience developing and maintaining controls and instrumentation documentation, including loop sheets, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, installation drawings, and control schematics. Strong understanding of PLC and DCS-controlled systems and associated instrumentation and control components. Experience designing 24V-480V electrical and control systems, including control power and associated field wiring. Knowledge of instrumentation installation and integration with PLC/DCS control systems. Working knowledge of NEC codes, IEC standards, and applicable electrical and industrial design standards. Ability to perform field verification and translate existing field conditions into accurate design documentation.

SUMMARY:

This role is responsible for providing instrumentation and controls design support for capital projects in chemical, process manufacturing, power, and other heavy industrial environments. The position will focus on the design and documentation of industrial control systems, including PLC/DCS integration, instrumentation, control circuits, and 24V-480V electrical and control systems. Responsibilities include developing loop sheets, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, installation drawings, and control schematics; performing field verification; and ensuring designs comply with NEC, IEC, and applicable industry standards #
