The Sr Controls Engineer will lead the design and execution of control systems, ensuring projects are delivered on time and meet high-quality standards. This role requires a hands-on approach to electrical design, testing, troubleshooting, and collaboration across departments to drive innovation and efficiency.
Job Duties:
Manage controls and electrical designs, ensuring 100% on-time delivery to key milestones and schedules.
Participate in design reviews, refine control systems, and complete electrical designs that align with project specifications.
Prepare and submit customer approval drawings, schematics, BOMs, and supporting documents, ensuring accuracy and timely release.
Work closely with purchasing, vendors, engineering, manufacturing, and service teams to resolve design-related challenges and implement improvements.
Conduct root cause analysis, support manufacturing in resolving design issues, and drive cost reduction initiatives.
Perform in-house controls testing, field installations, and start-ups, ensuring seamless integration and performance.
Support the introduction of cutting-edge technology by ensuring seamless integration of controls and electrical requirements.
Champion continuous improvement and quality assurance initiatives to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Qualifications:
BSEE degree preferred or equivalent experience (minimum of 10 yrs of industrial machine controls experience)Strong knowledge of industrial electrical controls, drives, servos and PLC logic (Allen Bradley and/ or Siemens)Strong knowledge AutoCAD ElectricalStrong conceptual, organizational, and problem-solving skillsStrong knowledge of
NEC, NFPA
