Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electrical systems and components that drive our cutting-edge projects. Your expertise will help shape the future of electrical systems across various industries, ensuring they meet rigorous standards for performance, safety, and compliance. Responsibilities Design and develop electrical schematics, circuit diagrams, and PCB layouts using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks. Lead system development verification processes through simulation tools like MATLAB, Simulink, and SystemVerilog to ensure functionality and reliability. Conduct thorough root cause analysis during troubleshooting of electrical systems and electronics design issues to identify solutions efficiently. Manage project scheduling to meet deadlines while coordinating cross-disciplinary tasks involving FPGA programming, PCB fabrication, and system integration. Perform engineering testing on prototypes and production units using oscilloscopes, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to validate performance against specifications. Develop firmware and firmware debugging routines in languages such as C++, Python, Perl, or scripting environments to optimize control systems and automation processes. Ensure all electrical system designs adhere to industry standards including NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70 compliance, and local electrical building codes for safety and regulatory adherence. Skills Extensive experience with FPGA development, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and control systems engineering. Proficiency in PCB design, surface mount technology (SMT), and electronics manufacturing processes. Strong knowledge of electrical system design for industrial automation, manufacturing environments, or communications systems. Skilled in using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, or SolidWorks for detailed engineering drawings and schematics. Familiarity with simulation tools like MATLAB/Simulink for system modeling and verification purposes. Ability to perform circuit design, signal processing analysis, and electronics troubleshooting effectively. Mechanical knowledge related to mechanical engineering principles that influence electrical system integration. Experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role with a focus on electrical building codes and NFPA 70 standards. Competence in debugging complex systems using oscilloscopes, ohmmeters, vision inspection systems, and other diagnostic equipment. Programming expertise in C++, Python, Perl or similar scripting languages for automation and system development verification. Knowledge of surface mount technology (SMT), soldering techniques including surface mount soldering methods. Familiarity with mechanical CAD tools such as Revit or Mechanical Engineering principles related to electrical system integration. $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
