full-time About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced
PLC / HMI
Automation Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong background in PLC programming, HMI development and industrial automation to work on a variety of exciting projects, from initial design and development through to commissioning and ongoing support. The successful candidate will work closely with electrical, mechanical and software engineering teams to develop reliable and efficient automation solutions for a range of industrial applications. Key Responsibilities Develop, program and modify PLC control systems . Design and develop
HMI/SCADA
applications . Diagnose and resolve PLC, HMI and control system faults. Develop control system software in line with project specifications. Assist with electrical and control system design where required. Carry out system testing, commissioning and troubleshooting. Support the installation and integration of automated equipment. Work closely with customers, suppliers and internal engineering teams. Produce and maintain technical documentation, software backups and project records. Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle. Participate in site commissioning and customer visits when required. Key Skills & Experience The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience working as a Controls, Automation or PLC Engineer . Strong experience with PLC programming . Experience developing and configuring HMI systems . Knowledge of industrial automation and control systems. Experience fault-finding electrical and control systems. Ability to read and understand electrical/control schematics. Experience with commissioning and testing automated machinery or industrial systems. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a wider engineering team.

Experience Experience with one or more of the following would be advantageous: Siemens
S7 / TIA
Portal Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Mitsubishi Omron Schneider WinCC FactoryTalk Ignition Wonderware / AVEVA Desirable Experience SCADA systems Variable Speed Drives (VSDs/VFDs) Industrial networks and communications Motion control / servo systems Robotics Electrical design Safety systems OPC / Ethernet/IP / Profinet / Profibus Experience within manufacturing, process, automotive, packaging or other industrial environments
