Job Description

Electrical Engineer

Position OverviewTAP Engineering is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team. If you are a highly motivated engineer who enjoys a challenging and dynamic environment w your contributions are both critical and valued, TAP will provide you the tools and opportunity to thrive.



The Electrical Engineer supports schematic capture and PCB layout for test and verification hardware used in the development of a new product line. The role includes component selection, board bring-up, troubleshooting, and close collaboration with engineering teams to validate product performance.



Key Responsibilities

  • Designing electrical components and systems, including schematic capture and routing layout for digital, RF/analog, and mixed signal printed circuit boards
  • Performing engineering analyses
  • Fabricating, assembling, and qualifying first article engineering prototypes
  • Developing and executing test plans and procedures
    Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or related technical field)
  • 3+ years of overall engineering experience
  • Experience designing printed circuit boards, including schematic capture and routing layout in CAD software (e.g., Altium)
  • Experience developing electronics test requirements, plans, and procedures at the system and component level Desired Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or related technical field)
  • Experience with battery systems testing, validation, and safe integration
  • Active Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI Clearance Compensation The anticipated salary range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000, based on relevant experience, qualifications, and other applicable factors.

The compensation range provided is a general guideline and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Benefits Overview TAP Engineering offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package, including:
