Back to all jobs Electrical Engineer 1385 S M 75, Boyne City, MI, USA Salary Full Time Health Benefits, 401k, PTO, Life Insurance, Short term and Long term disability Email Me Similar Jobs Email Me This Job Position summary: Provide electrical engineering support necessary to introduce products to the market and supply existing products to our customers in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Principal Responsibilities:
Responsible for assignments supporting the Engineering Department; including but not limited to: Design and develop electrical and pneumatic control schemes for lifting, holding, and tramp metal magnet systems - both electromagnetic and permanent magnet types. Provide technical support to Sales, assisting Regional Managers and Reps in specifying the correct control solution for customer applications. Support customers with troubleshooting and technical assistance via phone, email, and occasional on-site visits. Create and modify PLC control logic using Allen Bradley and Siemens platforms. Generate electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and customer approval drawings using AutoCAD and Visio. Coordinate third-party electrical safety inspections (eSAFE) for products prior to customer shipment. Perform testing and commissioning of electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems while being exposed to hazardous industrial voltages, stored energy systems and high-energy magnetic assemblies. Administer instrument calibration records and oversee calibration of shop and field service equipment in collaboration with the IMI Quality Team. Support the Repair Department with diagnosis and evaluation of returned magnets and controls. Assist Purchasing with component specifications, sourcing, and substitution approvals. Produce technical documentation including build procedures, installation/operation manuals, and product tech sheets.
