Controls Engineer The ideal candidate has experience with systems integration, PLC programming, motion control, electrical design, and commissioning complex equipment. This position requires a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges and working directly with both hardware and software systems.
Controls Engineer Job Responsibilities:
Develop electrical and controls system requirements and design documentation from product definition through customer integration.
Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and component specifications.
Program and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems.
Design, develop, and support software applications using C# and .NET technologies.
Support installation, commissioning, startup, and field troubleshooting activities.
Develop automated test equipment and data acquisition systems for product development and validation.
Contribute to overall system architecture, design reviews, and engineering best practices.
Controls Engineer Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum 4+ years of relevant controls engineering experience.
Experience with PLC programming utilizing
IEC 61131-3
standards.
Proficiency in C# and .NET application development.
Experience with control system installation, commissioning, and startup activities.
Strong troubleshooting skills involving electrical, software, and mechanical system interactions.
Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
Motion control experience including servo drives, rotary servos, and linear servo systems.
Embedded systems or firmware development experience.
Understanding of electronics at the circuit board level.
Custom control algorithm development and implementation experience.
Data acquisition and automated testing experience.
