General Dynamics Mission Systems, Inc. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire.
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Responsibilities for this Position
ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES
As an electrical engineer fo r Undersea Mission Systems, youll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for designing complex undersea communication systems. We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: Ability to read, interpret, and understand complex electronic schematics for a Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) Proficiency with EDA/schematic capture tools (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD, KiCad) Ability to perform or support circuit simulation (e.g., SPICE, LTspice) to validate functional behavior pre-fabrication Familiarity with PCB layout considerations to support layout team during fabrication phase Ability to author and review formal test procedures for CCA-level functional testing Skilled in troubleshooting hardware anomalies at the board level using signal tracing and diagnostic techniques What sets you apart: Proficient using electrical engineering computer-aided design (CAD) tools and mixed Signal circuit analysis/design Habitually ahead of technology trends, with background in test, troubleshooting, and reading circuit card schematics Motivated to drive innovation around design architectures, assembly, component selection, and electronics design Research & Development experience including concept, design, modeling, prototyping, and testing Collaborative team player committed to ongoing professional development for yourself and others Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation Our Commitment to
