Senior Electrical Project Engineer, Hardware Leddy Group is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Project Engineer, Hardware, to lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced fiber optic communication systems for a Seacoast based client. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineering professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and guiding projects from concept through execution. The ideal candidate will bring strong systems engineering expertise, project leadership experience, and the ability to engage effectively with both customers and internal stakeholders. Responsibilities Develop technical solutions and system architectures based on customer requirements and project objectives. Serve as the engineering lead during proposal development, contract reviews, project planning, and execution activities. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, operations, sales, and project management teams to ensure successful project outcomes. Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering efforts throughout the project lifecycle. Perform and oversee system analyses, including performance evaluations, power budgets, reliability assessments, and design validation activities. Lead technical presentations, design reviews, customer discussions, and problem-resolution efforts. Support continuous improvement initiatives and provide technical mentorship to less-experienced engineers. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline. 10+ years of engineering experience within telecommunications, fiber optics, optical networking, submarine cable systems, or a related technical field. Proven experience leading complex engineering projects and collaborating with cross-functional technical teams. Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and systems engineering capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
